The project looks to improve accessibility to quality reproductive healthcare for women in Kinshasa. Gaps in the Democratic Republic of Congo in this sector are enormous, for this reason the project is focused on 3 axes considering urgent needs: 1) to reinforce clinical skills in current health workers at the primary health care level under a program of hospital-based training; 2) to reinforce the maternal and neonatal health network existing in two peripheral municipalities of Kinshasa (Mont-Ngafula and Selembao) between primary health care maternities and a district hospital; 3) and finally, improving awareness of early prenatal consultation between young people (both girls and boys) through a school-based health program in the targeted communities.
